This one’s about what happens when you’ve gone too far to turn back. When you’re too far gone to pretend you’re not sinking.
It’s about that point where the only thing left to do is keep your eyes open and keep breathing, even when there’s no sign of light.
“We’ll overcome if we survive” really sums it up. It’s not about being fearless or heroic. It’s about endurance. It’s about waiting long enough for things to change, even if that means sitting on the bottom for a while.
Sometimes surviving is all you can do, and sometimes that’s enough.
